StarTrek Enterprise NCC-1701 Bottle Opener

I do not know why did I think the new StarTrek movie is coming out this year? Did they move the release date? Grrr…. I was really convinced it was this July, but as it turns out its release date is May 2009!

I guess I will just have to satisfy myself with this beautiful bottle opener, even though I really do not need one ;)

Update: Now that was "short" lasting. 8:55pm Eastern and it’s back on line. Measly 21 minute of downtime, and all this for what? All I can see is a new logo - which nicely coincides with the Valentines day tomorrow :)

Starbucks Closing…

Here is some news for all you Starbucks lovers. Starbucks will be closed on Tuesday, February 26th for three hours.  Apparently it is to re-train their coffee making machines on how to make a better drink for you.  Luckily for some early morning birds it will be closed from 5:30pm - 8:30pm.

Gotcha with the title, eh? :)

Source: overheard by my girl at Panera Brad manager’s meeting (which conveniently takes place around the same fireplace she likes to sit around) :)

New Section coming up soon: Product Reviews

I’d just like to thank all of you for coming, and returning, to the site. The number of subscribers (via email and RSS) is growing daily, which makes me quite pleased. It means we’re doing at least something right :)

There’s nothing like having a site which people find useful; the main reason behind Need to Know Blog. As I always like to say, you’d be amazed at the number of people who do not know much about the Internet. While there’s been a lot of news reporting lately, expect to see more how-to’s as early as tomorrow.

You may have noticed the site is being prettified lately. We’ve added new categories, new design, new features. Next on the list of improvements is a special column: Product reviews.

We’re expecting the first review candidates to arrive via mail shortly, and look forward to provide you with unbiased first-hand reviews of all kinds of products. I’m really glad that many manufacturers, even smaller ones, decided to send us all kinds of things for review and we thank them for their support :)

Until then, thanks once again for visiting and reading the blog. Feel free to contact us for anything, we’re here to help (as many of you already know fist hand). Don’t be afraid - your email will actually get answered :)
